The system runs on a Macintosh network but interfaces with Unix, NT servers and Mainframes. The system is connected worldwide though a complex network. C++ was the programming language used.

Wasatch Education Systems, Inc. Develop a multimedia application for kinder garden, 1st, 2nd, and third grade. This application supported the complete curriculum for the school districts. Once again, this application was originally created on the Windows platform. We delivered the product on the Macintosh.
MedNet, Inc. Develop a medical office management system, on the Windows platform. This is complicate medical application with scheduler, electronic medical records, billing (electronically), Transactions (accounting), patient diagnoses with support to industry standard ICD9 codes and SOAP notes subsystem and numerous reports. The system supports single and multiple clinics.
Cents equals Dollars. Develop a windows application that sets and manages employee standards for the Automobile industry. The application was originally developed but not completed on Unix using the Progress database environment.

Work on 2 separate projects, first assign to change and add new functionality to the Install shield setup installation program for the Web Retriever version 2.1 release. After completing this task I was assign to make modifications to both the installation program and the Web Retriever version 2.1 to recognize Iomega’s ZIP and Jaz drives (removable media). The Web Retriever allows the scheduling of downloading of information from the WEB and it stores it in an Info database. If an Iomega (Zip or Jaz) drive was connected to the system it will be used as the default down load media, and the verification of the media for appropriate free space and polling in case no media was present was supported. The development was done using InstallShield for both 16 and 32 bit windows. The changes to the Web Retriever was done using Borland IDE (C + +), Visual C + + and Iomega’s SCSI and API libraries to talk to the ZIP and/or Jaz drives.

Assign to evaluate and establish a standard process to develop, maintain and port a group of Network General Midware applications (Sandbox, Explorer NT, etc application to UNIX base system via Wind/U. Wind/U is a porting tool developed by Bristol technology, it allows an application developed on Windows/Windows NT to be recompiled and run, with minor changes on UNIX platforms. Network Generals Midware applications where developed on the WindowsNT (3.51 and 4.0) using Visual C + +, MFC, OLE and Orbeline libraries. Orbeline is a communications framework that simplifies the development of object oriented network distributed applications in C + +. Orbelines framework goes beyond the CORBA specifications. Wind/U adds to UNIX capabilities currently not found in UNIX such as Ole, MFC and MDI.

Ported Visual Basic source code from Windows environment to the Macintosh VIP-Basic. The port included 3 modules Cardiac Arrest, Code Team and MicroEKG. The modules where a self-study training aid for emergency phycisians, they contain real time evaluation and resucitation of patients scenarios that can be encountered in an emergency room. Worked with Visual Basic, on Windows and VIP-Basic on the Macintosh.

Working on the development of AppWare, and object oriented development system which allows developers to build application from off the shelve objects. The application is portable between the Macintosh, Windows and eventually UNIX. AppWare is a continuation of Serius WorkShop and STI, Inc. a company that Novell purchased on June 7, 1993. STI developed a C library that allows applications to be portable on the Macintosh, Windows and UNIX. The AppWare platforms supports NetWare NLM %

Software Engineer
Serius was the developer of the Serius development platform for the Macintosh. The development platform is an object oriented graphic interface which allows application developers to link objects together and assemble applications. Users can save up to 75 % of development time for compatible applications done in other programming languages. I work on the development of the Windows Serius Workshop. The development was done in C + +, we had to addressed portability issues between the Macintosh and Windows platforms. Serius was purchased by Novell, Inc on 6/7/93.

Eaton Kemway/Systems West

I was contracted by Systems West to work on a UNIX system for one of Eaton Kemway's customer (Navisco). Navisco have one of the computer control warehouse system. I was hired to do some customize development for Navisco. The work was done in Salt Lake, and forwarded to Navisco over a modem. The work included changes to the user interface, data base and drivers. The changes that where made could not be tested in Salt Lake but had to be tested on site, by the warehouse manager with me on the phone and with a terminal connected over a modem to their system. Because this was the main distribution center for Navisco, and it was up and operating 24 hours a day seven days a week, the changes had to be tested on a live system because it control robots I had to used a lot of caution so as not to cause the robots to damage any merchandise.

Aid in developing a product and set up an organization to market the "Business Consultant and Financial Analyst, tm." The Corporation was owned by 4 individuals, in which a held the majority of the stock. I was involved in preparing business plans, fund raising, help and directed the preparation of Marketing materials, manuals, video tapes that demonstrated the system and strategic negotiations and planing for Nestor. I had up to 24 employees. Aid on the preparation and distribution of a press release and product evaluations by the media.

Work on the development of a Macintosh interface for an Electronic News Paper device. The device received data from news stories providers, such as API. The providers of the news stories are the same as those that provide the stories for TV and radio news and news papers, the stories came from world wide sources. An electronic device received data from air waves or FM, the data was forwarded to the computers. The program allows the user to setup a selection criteria (query) under which stories where either forward to users on a network or thrown away. To forward the stories over a network I interfaced to WordPerfect Office and Microsoft Mail, the interface was done through the use of an APl provided by WordPerfect and Microsoft, we also design and evaluated the interfacing to Quick mail and other mail packages. The development was done on the Macintosh in C and API's. UNIX and DOS versions of the program existed.

Designing and developing a user interface to setup and control visual (camera) security systems of building and military site. The development was done using the SDK development system and Glockenspiel CommonView. The system has been developed using the C programming language. The system allowed multiple cameras to be controlled from a single workstation running Windows. The security guard have the power to pan, move, turn on and off, set to record and totally control cameras from the workstation.

Worked on the development of a factory simulation package. The user defined all integral parts of a factory and specified the factory layout. The system ran a visual simulation of the development and transfer of parts through the factory. The development was done for the Macintosh environment using Object Pascal.

Headed the design and development of a computer aid software package (Multimedia application) to teach Spanish in schools. The package worked in conjunction with a television teacher in a satellite TV program. The name of the program was "Se Habla Espanol." This project was developed jointly with IBM.

Developed the FX80 emulation firmware for a portable fax/printer that will be marketed by Holmes Micro Systems Inc., Helped in the design of the printers primitives and firmware. Developed a font generator package (Nimbus-Q) that takes URW raster images and generates screen fonts for the Macintosh computer line. Nimbus-Q is used and marketed by "The Company" located in Massachusetts.

Headed the design and development of MacCharlie, an IBM-PC compatible co-processor designed tot use with the Apple Macintosh. Gained an extensive knowledge of the interns of the Macintosh, the IBM-PC and the LaserWriter. MacCharlie was voted product of the year in 1985 by John Dvorak, Magazine, Byte and other major computer publications. Other projects that I worked on were: the development of DaynaFile which won an award for communication product of the year by MacWorld in 1987. ,DaynaMail an electronic mail package that communicates (interfaces) with the coordinator of the electronic mail package used by Novel's Netware.
